Ground and boat transportation
There are 3 ways to get to Bocas from Costa Rica. By land from the Costa Rica South Caribbean Coats until reaching Sixaola, a small border town. There, once crossing the border after a 1 hour immigration process, continuing to the largest city of the Bocas del Toro province, Changuinola. From there, the trip continues by land to Finca 60, an active banana plantation and processing complex. There, it continues by boat through exotic jungle canals until open ocean and to the largest island of Bocas del Toro, Isla Colon or Isla Bastimentos, Isla Solarte or anmy other island. There is also a way from Sixaola to Almirante and from there by boat to Bocas. However, the boat ride through the canals is very adventurous and beautiful so we recommend the way through Changuinola..
